According to the head of the Department of natural resources and environment Yuri Marchenko, the main tasks of inspectors – practical assistance for the protection of the natural monument of the regional significance of the Lake is Bitter.
«In recent years at the lake, the cases of illegal extraction of cysts of the crustacean Artemia Salina (shrimps eggs). This year decided to organize round-the-clock protection of monument of nature in the reproduction period of Artemia using specialized security company. Interaction with this company is one of the duties of public inspectors», – said the head of the Department.
As reports a press-service of the Governor and the government of the Novosibirsk region, the training of inspectors in the districts; in the future this work will continue in other districts of the region. In order to preserve rare for the area of the reservoir, Bitter lake in 2003 was established the monument of nature of regional significance “Bitter Lake” of the Novosibirsk region. The area of the monument is over 700 hectares.
