Unique lake of Kazakhstan – Alakol lake is the second largest among domestic reservoirs of Kazakhstan and the only deep-water lake among the lakes of the Republic. In translation from Kazakh language means “Motley the lake”. It is really colorful – the turquoise clear morning, azure at the end of the day. This is a kind of sea steppe. Salt composition of water is sodium chloride in character, the chemical composition is comparable with the waters of the Black sea and includes almost the entire periodic table except for iodine, which contributes to the treatment of many diseases.
