Lake Sary Chelek is the most beautiful lake in the West of Kyrgyzstan. It is a nature reserve (Sary-Chelek biosphere reserve) included in a register of the UNESCO. Kyrgyzstan wants to attract more tourists, it’s a real gem: take a look at the photo, immediately wanted to go.
The problem is that the Kyrgyz chiefs did not even bother to pave the road back to normal. The long trip after all — where some 640 km from Tash-Kumyr the track is great, from Tash-Kumyr turn right (not along the Uzbek border, where the destroyed silicon plant, namely to the right — where coal mines), and drive a couple hours towards the town of Kerben. This road is also good — asphalt there upgraded no more than ten years ago. But the last 40 km of the way — when you have to turn off the road to the right and go directly on the lake — the road is so disgusting, that spoils all the impression of beauty. Almost no asphalt, broken-down primers are bulging rocks, to go on some sites you no faster than 20 km per hour. Everything you need to do is turn the primer broken in good. The asphalt laying is not necessary, if there is no money. One week of work of the grader to the bulldozer. Just why money to devote to anything except the road to one of the major tourist pearls of the country.
Well. Let’s enjoy the beauty.
The most fantastic time on the lake is early morning. Tourists there Continue reading

The lake itself is a favorite place of Muscovites and nearby cities, therefore it is a Sunday there were a lot of tourists.
